Public Comment Period

February 23, 2009 to March 24, 2009

The State Revolving Fund (SRF) Project Plan containing the details of the project is available for review at Grand Blanc Township and on this web page. Comments on the Project Plan should be submitted to in writing to Cathy Lane the Township Clerk.

Public Hearing

March 24, 2009

A Public Hearing will be held on March 24, 2007 at 7:00 pm at Grand Blanc Township Hall. The Project Plan will be presented by Rowe PSC and Potter Consulting and a question and answer period will follow the presentation.

Draft Submittal to MDEQ

April 2009

After the public comment period, the written comments will be evaluated and incorporated into the report. The State Revolving Fund (SRF) Project Plan will be submitted to the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ) for review and comment. MDEQ review is anticipated to take less than 60 days.

Final Submittal to MDEQ

July 1, 2009

In order to meet the requirements of the S2 Grant (see project background) the SRF Project Plan must be approved by September1, 2009. In order to meet this deadline the Project Plan must be submitted to the MDEQ in July, 2009 to be processed through the appropriate channels and approved by September 1, 2009.

Potential Funding

Fall 2009

MDEQ staff has indicated that the project is in the fundable range and is likely to be funded in 2009 - 2010.

Potential Project Initiation

Late 2009 - Early 2010

The project is scheduled to begin as soon as the funding is in place. The first step will be to send out Homeowner Packets to the first segment of affected homes. (See Home Page)
